Location Management Services

Here is how this works in practice. We provide location running that takes a confirmed location and makes it work for the shoot. Our location managers handle the day-to-day operation of each site: setting up access with owners and authorities, setting up unit bases and parking, arranging power, facilities and crew movement, managing public interaction and crowd control, and making sure the location is protected and restored.

Here is the short of it. For shoots in Prague's historic centre we set up closely with the Prague Film Commission and city districts, working within the conditions attached to filming around landmarks such as Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock and Prague Castle. On regional shoots in Bohemia and Moravia we manage the logistics of remote sites. Distance from infrastructure, access roads and weather exposure in a land-based climate.

Here is the breakdown. The Czech Republic's strength as a filming location places real responsibility on location running. The country has 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Locations such as the historic centres of Prague, Český Krumlov and Telč, the Sedlec Ossuary at Kutná Hora, and castles including Karlštejn and Loket carry strict conservation conditions that the location team must enforce on the ground. Prague's intact medieval, baroque and art-nouveau fabric — which has stood in for Vienna, Paris and London in productions from 'Amadeus' to 'Casino Royale' — must be left exactly as found. Our location managers have the experience to balance an ambitious shoot against the protection these sites need. They set up with the location-agreements, permit and health-and-safety workstreams so every site is run safely, lawfully and to schedule.
