LED Lighting Systems

Here is how this works in practice. We supply LED lighting systems and the crews to operate them for productions shooting throughout the Czech Republic. Current LED fixtures — panels, tubes, soft sources and high-output point sources — give DPs full colour control, low heat output and lower power draw than classic tungsten and HMI. This makes them well suited to period interiors and protected heritage buildings where heat and electrical load are concerns. Our gaffers and lighting technicians design LED packages around a production's look, integrating DMX control, wireless dimming and effects programming.

Prague's rental houses hold today's LED inventory. We set up the package so a unit has the right fixtures for studio or location work. The Czech crew base is deep and worldwide skilled, trained in part at FAMU, and fluent in current lighting workflows on global productions.

Here is the short of it. LED lighting is specific valuable on the heritage and period locations that draw productions to the Czech Republic — Prague's baroque and art-nouveau interiors, castles such as Karlštejn and Loket, and protected sites where the Prague Film Commission and regional authorities limit heat and rigging impact. Cooler-running LED fixtures reduce the risk to historic fabric and ease access negotiations.

Productions accessing the Czech Film Fund's 20% cash rebate, administered by the Státní fond kinematografie, often specify LED packages for their efficiency on long schedules and their suitability for the Central-European climate, where short winter days demand flexible interior lighting.
